Every cylinder mount, latch assembly, ram shoe, and bracket is held in place by bolts and pins that take direct load and eventually fail. Generic hardware-store bolts don't have the grade rating needed for industrial compactor service.

How to choose

Match by hardware type (bolt, pin, bracket, snap ring), grade rating (Grade 5 or Grade 8 for bolts; hardened steel for pins), and dimensions.

Don't substitute lower-grade hardware-store equivalents. The grade rating exists because compactor service loads exceed what generic hardware can handle.
