My compactor is from an obscure brand — can PRT supply a cylinder?
Almost certainly yes. PRT stocks or fabricates cylinders for the full range of commercial and industrial compactor brands. Even if the original is discontinued, we can usually fabricate a replacement from basic dimensions.
How do I identify a cylinder when the original part number is missing?
Measure bore (cylinder body inner diameter), rod diameter, stroke length (rod travel), mounting style (clevis, flange, trunnion), and port size. Send those dimensions plus a photo and PRT can identify or match it.
How long does custom cylinder fabrication take?
Typically 2-4 weeks from final dimension approval. Standard sizes are quicker; oversized or high-pressure custom cylinders take longer.
Can I get a custom cylinder built with non-standard port positions?
Yes. PRT custom-fabricates cylinders to any reasonable port configuration. Specify port size, orientation, and location when ordering.
