These are the bottoms PRT keeps in standing inventory because they fit the bulk of commercial dumpsters in service today — standard footprint front-load and rear-load containers from Wastequip, JV Cram-a-lot, and the other major manufacturers. Ordering from this page gets you a bottom shipped within one or two business days.

Standard Bottoms are heavy-gauge mild steel with the same reinforcement pattern as OEM bottoms. They include the welded reinforcement gussets, fork-tube cutouts (for front-load), and drain plug fittings standard on commercial dumpsters.

How to choose

Order by container size (2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 yard) and configuration (front-load with fork tubes, or rear-load with hinge mounts). Most major-brand containers within a given yard size share the same bottom footprint.

How fast does PRT ship standard dumpster bottoms?

Most orders ship same day or next business day; transit is 1-3 days depending on destination. Most operators have the bottom on site within a week of ordering.

What gauge steel is used for standard bottoms?

10-gauge mild steel is standard. We also stock 7-gauge reinforced bottoms for high-impact routes — specify when ordering.

Do standard bottoms come painted?

Bare steel by default. Painted bottoms (color-matched to your container brand) are available on volume orders or with a small upcharge per unit.

Can I weld my own modifications to a standard bottom before installation?

Yes. Most operators add custom drain points, additional reinforcement, or specialty fittings before installation. The mild steel welds cleanly with standard MIG or stick equipment.
