Roll-Off Container Parts

Replacement parts for roll-off containers — ground rollers, nose rollers, hinges, brackets, container covers, hook pull plates, and structural parts for 10, 20, 30, and 40-yard open-top boxes. Compatible with any OEM containers.

What this page covers

PRT stocks replacement parts for the container side of a roll-off system — the open-top steel box that gets dropped on the ground, loaded with debris, and picked back up by the truck. This is different from the truck side (hoist, cable, hooks, cylinders), which lives on our Roll-Off Truck Parts page.

Roll-off containers take more abuse than almost any other container in the waste industry. They get dragged across pavement, loaded with heavy and sharp debris, and slammed shut by collection-truck arms. The wear is predictable: rollers wear out under container loads, tailgate hinges break apart, latches bend or shear and covers take damage from weather and use.

How to choose the right roll-off container part

Since the roll off container industry is fairly standardized, PRT offers universal roll-off container parts that will fit any size (10, 20, 30, or 40 yard), or style (open-top, sludge box, sealed, compactor receiver). With this knowledge we can match the right replacement based on good photos of the part. We identify most container parts on first look and confirm fitment before you order.

Common roll-off container parts by failure rate

  • RollersThe nose roller wheels that ride on the truck's rails, wear from container load and constant loading and unloading the container.
  • Tailgate hinges and pinsHigh wear; replace when the pin or plates start getting worn from opening and closing the tailgate or container door.
  • Door seals and gasketsDegrade from sharp debris and acidic garbage waste over time on sealed containers and compactor receivers.
  • Cable connection pointsThe front pull-cable mount deforms the hooks and knuckles under repeated load.

Frequently asked questions

What size roll-off containers do PRT parts fit?

PRT stocks universal parts for 10, 20, 30, and 40-yard roll-off containers from Wastequip, JV Cram-a-lot, and more.. If you have a custom or odd ball container, send us a photo of the part you're looking for with dimensions, and our parts team will work with you to try and find a match.

What's the difference between container rollers and truck rollers?

Container nose rollers mount on the container itself and ride on the truck's rails when the container is loaded or unloaded, container ground rollers mount on the bottom of the container to roll on the ground when loading and unloading. Truck rollers mount on the side of the hoist rails and guide the container. PRT carries both — see our Roll-Off Truck Parts page for the hoist-side components.

Do you sell roll-off container covers and tarps?

Yes, PRT stocks a standard manual tarp system that operates with a crank, cable and pulleys universal to fit all roll-off containers, see R.MNTARP.UNI for more details.

How fast does PRT ship roll-off container parts?

Standard roll-off container parts ship within 24 hours of order placed. Non-standard roll-off parts ship within 1 – 2 weeks.
